Bucharest, March 12, 2021: DENT ESTET Group of clinics, the established market leader in the field of dentistry services in Romania, announces a turnover of EUR 13.7 million registered in 2020, thus registering an increase of 5% compared to the same period of previous year.

DENT ESTET, part of the MedLife Medical System, maintains its position as a detached leader on the dentistry services market, despite the health crisis triggered by the epidemiological situation in the country.

“2020 was a difficult year for the whole society, including the private medical services market in Romania. MedLife Group focused on the safety and health of the patient and medical staff, with additional protocols being implemented in all our units. The second objective of the company was to capitalize on development opportunities, and DENT ESTET had a mature evolution, a strategy that was based both on the development of the implantology segment at a unique level for Romania, and on a healthy territorial expansion, through the first acquisition in group’s history of a dental clinic, in Brașov”, says Mihai Marcu, CEO and president of MedLife Group.

Although 2020 was a year marked by an unprecedented health crisis, with dentistry clinics being completely closed for two months under the March Military Ordinance, the pace of development of the DENT ESTET group was not affected.

The group continued its expansion strategy at national level, by the acquisition for the majority stake of Krondent - Brașov, a nationally recognized dentistry clinic for over-specializing in laser dental treatments.

DENT ESTET has reached a total of 11 clinics covering an area of ​​3,300 square meters, 62 dental units, 124 doctors and 350 employees.

DENT ESTET - in the top of patients' preferences for treating complex cases in implantology

According to a study conducted by DENT ESTET, at the beginning of 2019, on a sample of 1000 people in the urban areas, the incidence of those who have at least one missing tooth is very high: 8 out of 10 Romanians.

This is the reason why DENT ESTET came up with a unique solution in Romania, the collaboration with Prof Paulo Malo, PhD, DDS, the most well-known personality in modern implantology, the one who revolutionized dental implant treatments for completely edentulous patients or those with severe bone atrophy. In this way, DENT ESTET has strengthened its position as the patients' preferred clinic for solving complex cases in implantology.

Thus, the complex treatments segment has registered in 2020, vs. 2019, an increase of 10% in terms of the number of patients. The impact of complex cases on the adult business of the group reaches 30% and confirms one again that the DENT ESTET patient knows the importance of choosing a prestigious medical team, internationally certified implants, but also state-of-the-art technologies.

In addition, in the context of a challenging year for society as a whole, Romanians understood the impact that oral health has on general health and did not neglect regular check-ups at the dentist.  Therefore, the total number of patients in the group remained constant at 35,000 people.

DENT ESTET 360 Safety - patient safety protocol, in the context of Covid-19 pandemic

Given the fact that our priority has always been the health and safety of our patients, we have developped and improved the protective conditions already applied in our clinics in order to stop the spread of infectious diseases.

We have created DENT ESTET 360 Safety protocol - a complete set of strict rules and measures for infections control in the dentistry office, taking into account the regulations and disinfection protocols established by the Romanian Dentists College and the Ministry of Health, but also those developed in countries such as USA, France, Germany, the Netherlands and Italy.

Thus, the patient felt safe at each visit to our clinic and had no hesitations about continuing the delayed treatments during the lockdown.

2021 - DENT ESTET continues its expansion and development plans

Year 2021 marks 5 years since the establishment of a solid partnership with MedLife, the largest private health care service provider in Romania.

Thanks to this partnership, which has strengthened patients' trust in DENT ESTET, the group will continue its development plans in 2021, in order to offer dental services at high standards of excellence to as many Romanians as possible.

DENT ESTET will continue to be involved in programs which support education in Romania and to train young generations of dentists. With the support offered by prof. univ. dr. Cristina Bica, dean of the Faculty of Dentistry - George Emil Palade University of Medicine Pharmacy, Science, and Technology of Târgu Mureş, DENT ESTET will invest in the arrangement of a classroom within this faculty. It is a pilot project, which we intend to promote in other universities in Romania.
